about 120km east of xi'an in huayin county of weinan is mount hua
it's the cradle of the chinese civilization
and the "hua" in zhonghua and huaxia are from mt.hua
it bears religious significance to the taoism
the main peak south peak is at 2,154.9 meters
with steep and narrow paths and towering peaks
mt. hua is bailed as one of
the most dangerous mountains in the world
and there is sky plank,
one of the top ten horrible hikes in the world
today we will present you three challengers
let's check out together how
these brave guys feel about mt.hua
no.1 claire and justin from the u.s.look at claire. she was so curious and excited about the hike the moment she sat in the cable car.
the two adventurers were so excited.
it was much easier with gloves and chains.
you can play a while with cats in the mountain. how lovely it is!
claire was so brave to choose the hard line.
they waited in line and it was freezing……just for famous sky plank.
and finally it came!
it was literally breathtaking.
“yeah, it was worth the wait! we're gonna have to run to our train cuz we're late but worth it. i've never been anywhere even remotely this epic before in my life.”
no.2 "wondering wolf" from the u.s.this is wondering from the u.s. despite a disappointing episode, wondering wolf had an amazing trip and he kept speaking highly of mt. hua.
the sky ladder seemed easy for strong and agile wondering wolf. there was no way he was gonna pass up this great opportunity.
praise huashan x1
"this is a great little climb and i definitely recommend doing this. it is incredible."
praise huashan x2
this is probably the coolest places i've ever been. i knew i was gonna be blown away by this place but i ain't expected to jump up to the top of my lists of places. that is just truly breathtaking.
unluckily, sky plank was closed for maintenance and the reopening time is still not sure. wondering wolf seems quite disappointed by this since he came from america for this.
praise huashan x3
don't feel bad. the mountain had one more surprise for wondering wolf—the somersault peak.
"this walk was incredible. up some narrow paths people were taking amazing photograph all around. and when we made our way out to the little pagoda, i got some of the most amazing views of the entire area. it was truly breathtaking and i am so happy that i got the chance to experience something like this."
praise huashan x4
what comes last is the best. there was beautiful sunset at the west peak.
"wow this is so impressive. i'm really happy to be here and we're catching a sunset. we're looking at something we've never seen. i've never seen a sunset like that." (the sunset was so breathtaking that wondering wolf flushed while saying these words)
brave kangaroo chose to climb the mountain in winter and he refused to take cable car. luckily he got few friends on the way.
kangaroo joked that he grew up by eating hamburger and hiking is quite easy for him. well…let's walk and see. after all, it is a five-hour hiking.
an hour later……
start getting tired
he got the mood to make snowman on the way. (and i have to say, it looks cute!)
after snowy weather, huashan seems much brighter.
finally he got to the top. it's freezing but he said: "the scenery is beautiful, it takes your breath away. i recommend you climbing it. you should definitely visit it."
he got up very early to see sunrise
breathtaking sunrise
the west peak is famous for steep cliffs, the east peak for the sunrise, the south peak for the wondrous pines and the north for its mist. mt.hua has more wonderful views waiting for you!
